Counting down to #EdCampATL

I have the privilege of being on the planning committee for edcamp Atlanta. In case you are not familiar, edcamps are part of the “unconference” movement. These are conferences that are free and participant led. Anyone can arrive ready to present and share, and participants “vote” on what they want to hear with their feet – where they show up for sessions.

Edcamps allow educators to have a platform to share the amazing things we are doing in our classrooms in order to get fresh ideas for one another. I attended a similar unconference (a teachmeet) in January, and it was a very exciting, inspiring experience. It’s always a privilege to attend events where everyone one wants to be there!

I am so excited that edcamp is coming to Atlanta! #EdCampATL will be held on Saturday, September 8. For all the details, please check out the edcamp Atlanta website. I know you’re not going to want to miss this event if you are in the Atlanta area, so make sure you don’t forget to register! (Remember, it’s free.)

I hope to see you at edcamp Atlanta in September!
