Flight Suit Fridays

Sometimes we need to remember to have fun and be crazy – to live life to its fullest. I think the institution of Flight Suit Fridays is one way Team Kennedy is showing how to have fun and also how to stay connected even though we are far apart.

Every Friday we wear our flight suits, take a photo, and share it on Facebook and Twitter. We have a bit of a competition going of who can post the most outrageous photo each week. (Well, this week is only the second week that we’ve been at it.)

The thing is – it’s fun! It’s so exciting to see everyone around the country in their blue flight suits doing fun things. It makes we wonder – what could we do like this in our classrooms? A fun themed day each week that brought out a friendly competition but also made us all feel connected. Ideas?

While you’re thinking, here are photos from my attempt this week – visiting the World of Coke for Blue Flight Suit Friday. The looks and conversation were priceless. One person would not believe I wasn’t an astronaut!

So – how will you celebrate Flight Suit Friday? (Follow #BFSFriday on Twitter for photos each week.)

    1. That sounds like an amazing idea! Would you get students involved? That would be really cool! Definitely borrow and adapt, and I can’t wait to see the photos on your blog.
