Georgia NASA STEM Day for Educators

I had the opportunity to attend a one day conference sponsored by NASA and the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, GA. I attended many incredible sessions. However, one of the most inspiring things of the entire day was listening to Carl McNair share about his brother, Ron McNair, who was one of the astronauts on Challenger STS-51L. It was amazing to hear his story, especially as we are just days away from the 25th anniversary of this tragedy.

    1. Kay, that is awesome! I am sure you heard lots of stories from your chemistry teacher. We received a copy of his biography written by his brother Carl. I look forward to reading it. We are also going to try to get Carl McNair to come to our school and talk to our kids. He is based near us, and we are sure Ron’s story will inspire them.
