The Great Snow Week of 2011

I can’t wait to read all my students’ posts about what they did during their unscheduled snow week. Here’s my post.

During this crazy week I did a lot of not much. Monday was fun. I tried to be the first person on the block to make a snowman, but the snow was still too powdery. I tried to take my dog for a walk, but he pulls and the sidewalk was too slippery!

On Tuesday, I started to get stressed about how far behind we’re getting in class! I also read a brand new book called “Across the Universe“. It was really good; it’s young adult fiction, and you should check it out.

I watched a lot of movies on Netflix. I started crocheting a new scarf. I made chili. I did not run out of food 🙂

On Thursday, I learned how hard it is to shovel snow off of a driveway. It’s especially difficult without a snow shovel!

My cat, dog, and I did a lot of playing & staring at each other. as you can tell, my week was nowhere near as exciting as yours!

Oh, I also learned that historic snowfalls that shut a city sown for a week aren’t really that fun. I think a day or two would have been better. Do you agree?
