Today is the day I head to Advanced Space Academy in Huntsville! I can’t believe the day is finally here! (Watch out; I’ll be using a lot of exclamation points!)
Attending Advanced Space Academy is a group of educators who have used what they learned at the first year space academy program to apply exciting new activities into their classrooms, schools, and communities. To apply, I submitted a portfolio of my activities. To be honest, I’m still surprised I was chosen to return this year.
I am looking forward to learning not just from advanced space academy, but from my fabulous teammates. I have already had a chance to get to know many of them through Facebook, and they are such an amazing group! I know I will be inspired and come back with new ideas just from talking with my teammates. I know this will be an incredible week as I spend it with educators as passionate about space and space education as I am. I can’t wait!
