Another first day of school came and went. Today felt different. I didn’t have the nerves or jitters like I usually do, but then, I didn’t run first day activities the same, either.
Our day focused on Curiosity’s spectacular mission and landing on Mars. We also watched videos of the launch.
One of the coolest things was our discussion of why we explore. We created class posters about exploration, which were really fun to see.
I shared with my new students that I had three main goals for them this year. That they would explore the world around them, be curious, and dare mighty things.
The first mighty thing I dare? Learn over 150 student names by the end of the week! What mighty thing will you dare this week?
