There are times in summer when you’re out and are reminded of back to school. During those times, your first thought often is. “But I’m not ready to go back to school yet!”
This happened to me on the fourth of July. I was at Target with my sister when I saw it – the back to school session. And strangely, I was filled with a tiny bit of dread thinking I would have to go back to school soon.
But then, you wake up one morning, and you’re ready. The day before you weren’t, but now you are. You’re ready to go back to school, and you know you’ll be in the right frame of mind when it’s time to officially go back. Maybe you’ll even go back a little bit early. (I always spend a few days at school the week before our official date to get my classrooms ready.) And you get excited about all of the new opportunities the year will bring.
Officially, I go back to school next Monday, but I was up there working on my room yesterday. Why? Because I’ve made the switch. Have you?
